NEUMOS Friday 16th. Have been wanting to see these guys for awhile. Check it out, should be good.

This might be a bit premature but the Cap Hill Block Party this year will fall on July 25th & 26th - Fri/Satm. Thats over a couple months away but i bet it sells out. The last few years have seen capacity (maybe over) crowds due to the Block Partys increase in popularity. The headlining bands seem to be on the cusp of blowing up too, so that probably adds to the crowds.

If the crowds aren’t your thing, post up in the beer garden like these drunks:

A few of the bands that will be at the show that im pumped to see are Les Savvy Fav, Vampire Weekend, The Hold Steady, Akimbo, Chromeo and Devotcka (who i missed recently). There’s a ton more bands…pretty much a band overload. They end up having the shows inside Nuemos, The Comet, King Cobra and the outside mainstage. The tickets for this show run $18 bucks each day or $34 for both days. Super cheap for the amazing music that will be there. You can get tickets Tickets at Moe Bar, Rudy’s Barber Shops, QFC or ticketswest.com if you want to pay a huge service charge.

A friend of mine had tickets to the Vampire Weekend show @ Neumos 3/26/08 but was ‘too tired’ to go to the sold out show. Lucky me! I promptly swooped up the tickets and headed to the Hill where a late March blizzard was waiting for me. Weird.

After getting ready for the show at Mo bar with the assistance of a few PBR’s, McKenney and i headed into Neumos. Holy crap the place was packed! Neumos is a bit lame when it’s that packed. But then again most places are.

Vampire Weekend went on pretty much on schedule @ 10:45 which was nice (being a school night and all). They were all wearing some form of a button-up, collared shirt like a bunch of goofy frat kids. Really goofy. (more…)
