…ABC lets this lawn-chair quarterback voice her opinion on “extreme sports”, especially when it’s covering Kevin Pearce’s accident. Why the hell would they have someone, who according to her Wiki is “…especially known for her coverage of the Olympics and figure skating.”, talk about the dangers of extreme sports. When asked to talk specifically about dangers of snowboarding she brings up “amplitude” and “…asking these young athletes to do something that is not best for them, where as in figure skating…blah blah blah”. Other contributing factors she mentions are “speed, ice, snow, and youth…”. So what she’s saying is that other snow sports (figure skating, Downhill skiing, ski jumping, Freestyle skiing – Aerial, Moguls, ski cross) don’t take amplitude and speed into consideration when being performed by young people…over ice and snow. WTF??? It seems as though this Olympic “expert” isn’t paying attention very closely. It’s obvious she doesn’t have any sort of respect for snowboarding because she also mentions “…(snowboarding) was added for tv ratings”.

Instead of the IOC investigating the dangers of Snowboarding why don’t they investigate what kind of jack-asses they have covering their events. I guess The Dingo was too busy to make an appearance on ABC.

Snowboarding died the year it premiered in the Olympics in late 90's and Terje was really the only one to speak his mind and boycot it.

ignore it.. snowboarding is not an olympic sport, suck it to those that enter, then again, guess you can’t blame someone for wanting $$$$$$ for their skill, goes up and down, I know legendary snowboarders (legends in my eyes at least) that think that the Baker Banked Snakerun is bullshit (hardline no competers), Terje likes that one though… all depends on your perspective I guess.
