I got my hands on a 164w Ride Machete the other day. Part 1 of my new kit. I’ve been riding the Ktwah turbo dream that i got a Kamp K2 and love it. Only problem is it’s a bit small for me; both length and width. It’s manageable, but not optimal. The shape and specs of this Machete i got are effing perfect. The waist of the turbo dream was 25.5, the Machete is 26.3. Perfect mid-wide. Length turbo dream 161, Machete 164.
I am now officially a little stoked to snowboard this year.
More info about the board here: http://ridesnowboards.com/boards/machete (check out the videos).

I haven’t actually ridden the board, but here’s what the TWS shred testers had to say:
“Jump board! Hot on rails too. I liked it, it was perfect for everything.”
“It made pretty stable turns with a damp feel. I would have liked it a little softer though.”
“Well rounded, turns decent, jibs great.”
“Ripping park board. My only beef is that carving hard, sharp turns was a little difficult. Otherwise, it was stable, poppy and fun.”
“Fun, mellow ride that felt easy to ride switch.”
“Real fun all mountain killer. Stiff enough to jump. Soft enough for presses. Just enough rocker.”
“i loved it!*”
*Ok, i added that one myself.

FUCKIN CROCKPOT SHIT
whatever flava suits u; “they’re all just expensive sleds”, you know “useless wooden toys”
what A man suck, suck a egg
ah .. crap.. “what A man said” is what I ment.. ef off
i want that stick too…the 161 though…just stood on one the other day at usoutdoorstore and dig it…but i was lookin at the crush too. same lowrize shape but no carbon i think…love ride…
yeah, im hyped to ride it. i’ve ridden a few Rides over the years and they are solid boards.
i’ll def drop a post on the Machete when i get this bitch in pow.
GOD DAMMIT SMAN YOU ARE ON RESTRICTION FROM THE LETTER-MAN GANG AKA WTF WAS THAT BRO COMEON
If the Turbo dream was so perfect except for length and width then you should have got the new 164 Turbo Dream 164 wide with a 26.60 waist. Betta in the powda!
good point. but, 3mm is a big difference. i’ve ridden boards that wide, and that’s too wide for my feet (10.5). the Machete is more like a mid-wide, which is what i like to ride. stuff right around a 26.0 waist.
26.6 is for dudes with like 12, 13 sized feet. poor bastards….
Come on!
Why don’t you just use a size 5 vs a size 15 if you are going to exaggerate.
We are talking about the thickness of a metal edge here.
Man and I thought I was picky! 3mm is as long as this line -
There is a direct correlation between needing a 26.0 vs a 26.6, and needing to use Trojan vs. Trojan Magnum.
Its actually half of that. We are talking about a 266mm and a 263mm
Do they make Trojan Blue Steel?
Blue Steel? For your information it’s called “Magnum XL”, but why even concern yourself with that. Do you ever go into a shoe store and ask if they have a size 13 when you wear a woman’s size 9?
metal edge…of what? I must be in the wrong forum.
I am saying the dif in the width between the two boards is the equivalent of the metal edge thickness.
So…sorry I’m a little slow today. Didn’t get a good nights rest. I think someone may have slipped a pea under my mattress.
