Sometimes when I space out M – F, 8 to 5, I try to draw waves. Even though I was all about it when I was in 1st grade my drawing skillz went down the shitter quick. I’ve never been very good at drawing.
Waves have got to be one of the more difficult things to draw. Anything that involves portraying time or motion has got to be tricky. Am i wrong art dude?
As shown below, my recent attempts are bad.
A few weeks ago i came across this post about Phil Roberts. This guy can draw the F outta waves. I’ve seen his drawings before but never really took notice until i saw this sped up video below. So rad… Pics and vid below stole from the Mountain and Wave (Quiksilver) website.

Another example of wave drawing skillz is the De Fuca guy. A completely different style but style nontheless. Simple and clean the De Fuca dude keeps it NW. I dig.
