Hit the jewel of Grays Harbor County aka Westport last Saturday. Got a late start after drinking a handfull of tallboy Rainier/PBR/etc at the Corndog Diahreas flick in Ballard.
I left SEA at 9am. Got a surf report call from LD when i was in Oly–waves were on. Stoked! Kept the speed chill as i didn’t want to contribute to the Grays Harbor Co revenue again.
Arrival: the waves were def on. Head high+, warm water, steady light offshore, mega high tide, low head count, sea lions. Surfed a 3 or so hour session solo. Had every wave to myself. Super fun.
For as much as i don’t like the surfing experience at Westport, i’ve scored the last few times i’ve been there.

Clem, Ki, Aaron, and I surfed Westport on Friday. The jetty was good with an off shore breeze. When Ki and I arrived there were a bazillion people trying to surf the peak at the Jetty. We opted for the waist high close out session at the cove. Clem and Aaron showed up at the cove a little later. They said the jetty was good, but there was some kid screaming about everyone being in his way. I wonder who that was?
I what was a good trip. It’ s always good to get into the water.
I concur, waves were so fun last Saturday, had no idea it was gonna be working like that, so greatful.

Aaron and I had a good laugh at the Jedi for sure. Really good, offshore, eight/nine foot faces. One guy screaming at ,”literally”, everyone else out there. One sour local and about 15 other canadians, weekend warriors, etc. All I could do was laugh at him and catch some amazing rights off the rocks. Pretty soon, we’ll all have to get over it, realize that some of the spots are now consistently crowded spots, and just accept it. ……or not, and just be a miserable prick trying to ruin everybody else’s fun. For being as crowded as it is, still always have fun out there.
Sat night & Sunday were nice’n'kind too… don’t mind the seals & “The Jerk” barking, have yet to see them bite. Hit the Mermaid, then burned stuff as the spot. Sunday = just enough water moving around to maintain decent crowd control. Is it Winter yet?

so heres the deal. goin to mexico in may for a wedding. have two weeks to spend somewhere after the wedding. Here’s what i want small town with a good right . Pretty sure i will have a rental car. Any bodie got any idea’s.
what part of mexico are you going to? how far are you willing to go after your wedding to find small town with a good night?

ya i took a look at that a couple of months ago found some cool houses in troncones. if i end up there will be the gringo with booty’s for sure. The wedding is in cabo but willing to take a cheap flight. was even thinking about punta de minta again but want to try some place different.

Just make sure you’re hiding your cash and drugs up yr a$$ if you travel up baja. Las polocia don’t mess around up there. Also…..hopefully you are going in early May because it gets flat right around then. Just ask bslashing….we spent nearly a month in mex with about mabye 10 surfable days.
