Back in the day before there were snowboard parks everywhere, i lived up at Alpental with my bro Eli. Every morning before shred we’d get hyped to a little known video called 1999 from Justin Hostynek. We’d always crank the opening segment because it started with this heavy Korn song. I don’t even like Korn…but that shiz always got me pumped to ride.
Here’s the video:
Same dudes that have been pumping out hits since 1999 now have a new shred flick. Absinthe Films – ‘Ready’ is playing this Saturday Sept 6th at the King Cat Theater (which just so happens to be located a block from this place).
The trailer for this movie comes heavy with some Zeppelin. Of all the epic Zeppelin songs i can’t think of a better intro song than ‘When the Levee Breaks’. The trailer is sic — almost enough to pull me outta surf mode.
I give this one a def check. Trailer is here: http://www.sphereofinfluencetour.com/newSite/hiResPlayer/
Word.
Ha. Right on. Hope to see you over there tomorrow. Destroying the pipe. Old school rail shots are great too!
Blud. Please don’t use “back in the day…” with “1999.”
Hyperspeed retro is the bane of my existence dood…all of ours, really…in about two years, when “yesterday” finally catches up with “tomorrow,” and we break the time barrier and the very fabric of existence instantly evaporates, you’ll be wishing you were back snuggling with E-Guy in your moldy Alpental Road bunkbed holmz… shit’s going down…
Zule, out.
and yeah how was the movie? Did you win any tshirts or stickerpacks in a raffle?
the theater seemed to have a really dark screen. like the movie was super dark. kinda made it look shitty. ima have to re-evaluate. somebody buy it and let me borrow it. thanks.
jerk probably forgot to take his oakley frogskins off…
