Not for everyone. Thats for sure. Go rent the dvd THE DEVIL AND DANIEL JOHNSTON, they even have it at block buster. A good documentary on a crazy wierdo if nothing else. It did well at some film festivals. check this 
It will be interesting for sure. I kind of doubt that he can make it through a hole set but we’ll see. Here is probably more of what to expect. 
Also if you like documentaries on weirdos : Look up ROKY ERIKSON title Your Gonna Miss Me Super good. I give this one a 6/6 and maybe an extra 6 for a special DIABLO RATING.
This guy rips. And he played Bumbershoot this year. Listen to the lyrics. Sometimes these rockers really are crazy.

Dude. You know I’ve always respected your ear for music, or at least listened to what you had to say, since you’ve had a subscription to the Rolling Stone since you were in diapers. Still, blogging is for fags. I may dial into your “feed” anyway, since I know the value in your musical ranting. I have enjoyed many many many bands based on your opinion, with really very few dogs. I remember the first time I told you I tought this album sucked that you had given me, you got all offended and said said “since when did you become such a music critic”. Well guess what blog boy, I may be a critic, but at least I’m not fucking blogging about it. Church of Later Day Bryan.

man, i just hope johnston boogies like he did in his documentary!! that would make my week. next time you see NIZ O P, ask him to do his impersonation of it. he’s got it down pretty sweet.
i hope to see many familiar faces at this show. i mean c’mon, he’s a living legend for christ sake. just about every good band out there has covered his songs over the years. scott, if i don’t see you there i swear i’m gonna kick your ass!
