Alpental has been getting rocked the last few weeks. I’ve ridden there the last 4 days…it’s been so good. If you’ve been up there, you know.
I love that Alpental is such a short drive. The only problem is proximity to the city means big lift lines. The Chair 2 line the last few days has been so long…a good 1/2 hour trip to the top. That long of a wait makes navigating the Chair 2 line tricky–strategy required.
I find that the best way to power through the front is to take your board off and walk. I always keep my head down and just watch the Alpentalic skier in front of me. When he moves, i move. Pay attention to the dude decked out in fresh REI gear to the side–just make sure that when the Alpentalic moves forward you strategically place your foot in front REI guy’s skis straight up cock blocking him. Don’t hesitate, don’t look up, just keep stepping. People in Seattle are sissies, so they typically won’t say or do anything.
Ruthless, maybe. Aggressive, debatable. Dick-move, probably. But when dealing with a lift line on an Alpental weekend pow-day, strategy required.

I was going to make a “smart ass” comment like the first comment, but then i realized something. . . . He probably came down with the flu like myself and has been missing all the recent storm days at the mountain. I’m a little bitter too. Also, Lib Tech…….average life under my feet this season……four days. I’m in need of a new snowboard. All donations go to Clem directly, you know the number.

I was in the uncomfortable situation of having to call out one of muffjenkem’s homies last week… that line is ruthless…turning brother upon brother…I was in chill mode too, but motherfuckers were excalating situations, and I had to stay consistent…that sucked. I did, however, invent a new manouvre: kinda run into a skier, and then, to get up, use the binding release lever thing, leaving him monofied…it’s rad! I’m seriously to that point, where I’m gonna take off a motherfucker’s skis and stab someone to deth with them…

good ridin with you fools who got ridden with last week. probably the best runs ive taken up there. granted it was the best snow ive seen up there. so probably not a lot of it had to do with who i was riding with…but anyway…
good work with the lift line hottie.

Crystal sucks BALLS… shit talking by the heads of “SKI” school, not opening the top for a “WIND” (no wind) hold & not posting it on their site till 8am, it’s a skiiers mountain. I’d much rather drive one hour to our stomping grounds. funny thing is, now they own us…
